Course Information
Objective: The purpose of this program is to fully acquaint the user with the potential hazards of radiation and how to safely retrieve an exposed source.
Upon successful completion of this course the attendee will be able to:
- Identify main causes of emergencies and initial response procedures
- Advance Preparations, initial response procedures, on-site activities and post retrieval actions
- Knowledge and use of retrieval equipment
- Dealing with the Media
课时: 8 a.m – 5 p.m CT, includes an hour for lunch.
Basic Schedule: Morning classroom lectures and afternoon laboratory exercises.
服装: Casual, suitable for movement during laboratory exercises and layers for classroom (in case of hot or cold). Louisiana has varying weather, please be prepared for seasonal changes and inclement weather.
What to bring to class: Students should bring issued dosimetry (发出的剂量将是为那些谁也不曾发出剂量计或光释光/电影徽章)
Parking: SPEC has limited parking. Many hotels in below list offer shuttles to SPEC and/or in walking distance.
