Course Information

Objective: The purpose of this program is to fully acquaint the user with the potential hazards of radiation and how to safely retrieve an exposed source.

Upon successful completion of this course the attendee will be able to:

Identify main causes of emergencies and initial response procedures
Advance Preparations, initial response procedures, on-site activities and post retrieval actions
Knowledge and use of retrieval equipment
Dealing with the Media

วิชา: 8 a.m – 5 p.m CT, includes an hour for lunch.

Basic Schedule: Morning classroom lectures and afternoon laboratory exercises.

เครื่องแต่งกาย: Casual, suitable for movement during laboratory exercises and layers for classroom (in case of hot or cold). Louisiana has varying weather, please be prepared for seasonal changes and inclement weather.

SPEC is located in James Business Park off US Highway 61 (Hwy สายการบิน), just west of the New Orleans International Airport. SPEC occupies both buildings at 113 และ 119 ถนน Teal.
