SPEC 2-T Radiography Exposure Device

The SPEC 2-T is a portable "crank-out" industrial radiographic exposure device designed for field or laboratory use. It has been used extensively throughout the world for sixteen years and has a proven history of safety and reliability in all common working conditions and environments. The SPEC 2-T has many unique features that combine to provide safety, reliability and versatility.

TRANSPORTATION:
The SPEC 2-T is approved by the USNRC and USDOT as a Type B(U) Radioactive Materials Package. It is provided with a protective metal drum overpack for use when shipping by common carrier. Use of the overpack is optional when transporting the 2-T in private carriage to the job site.

SOURCES:
SPEC Model G-1, G-1F, G-3, and G-3F Iridium-192 "pigtail" sources are used with the 2-T. The sources are interchangeable with many other exposure devices in use today. The maximum source activity is 200 Curies. Replacement sources may be exchanged in the field from the SPEC Model C-1 Source Changer. The C-1 is the safest and most convenient source changer available in the industry.
